“Won’t react on comments made by those outside the party now”: Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar on two suspended leaders

West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Sukanta Majumdar refused to react to the allegations made by two suspended leaders of the party, Jaiprakash Majumdar and Ritesh Tiwari.
Yesterday, a statement issued by the West Bengal BJP unit said Tiwari and Jaiprakash Majumdar have been “temporarily suspended” till the party’s disciplinary committee completes its investigation under instructions of Sukanta Majumdar.
Today, both leaders addressed a press conference in Kolkata and criticised the party on various aspects. Sukanta Majumdar refused to react to all the allegations made by Majumdar and Tiwari, saying that he wouldn’t like to react to statements made by those “who are currently not members of the party”. He said that “all that one has to say must be said to the party and not before the media, perhaps they (Majumdar and Tiwari) do not know it.”
He added that the two leaders were suspended for violating party discipline, and the matter was being probed. “These are internal matters of the party and I am not going to make statements on this to the media,” the state BJP chief said.
