Union Home Minister Amit Shah has tested positive for COVID-19. Reports said he was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Haryana\u2019s Gurugram, near Delhi.<\/p>\n
Shah himself tweeted that his health is fine but he has been admitted to the hospital \u201con the advice of doctors\u201d. A thorough contact tracing is being conducted \u2013 many of those who had come in contact with the Union Home Minister have isolated themselves and are getting themselves tested for COVID-19.<\/p>\n
Many senior leaders have either met Shah over the past few days, and according to some reports, he had also attended a cabinet meeting.<\/p>\n
There have been over 18 lakh COVID-19 cases in the country so far with over 38,000 deaths. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh minister Kamal Rani Varun (62) died at Lucknow\u2019s Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences on Sunday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
