The All India\u00a0Kisan\u00a0Mahasangh \u2013 an umbrella organisation of over a hundred farmers\u2019 groups &#8212; organised the strike from today.<\/p>\n<p>They accused the government of making false promises as the\u00a0farmers\u2019\u00a0condition has worsened over the past few years. They took to the road in several states including Maharashtra,\u00a0Uttar\u00a0Pradesh,\u00a0Madhya\u00a0Pradesh and Punjab.<\/p>\n<p>There was huge deployment of police force\u00a0where the protests\u00a0are being staged.
