Former President Pranab Mukherjee\u2019s health condition has deteriorated, and there are signs of a lung infection, it was reported by the hospital where he has been admitted since last week. He is on ventilator support and has also tested positive for COVID-19. The 84-year-old underwent an emergency surgery for a brain clot on August 10.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere has been a decline in the medical condition of Hon\u2019ble Shri Pranab Mukherjee as he has developed features of lung infection. He continues to be on ventilatory support and is currently being managed by a team of specialists,\u201d Army Research and Referral Hospital\u2019s statement read.<\/p>\n
Last Monday, Mukherjee had mentioned in his Twitter account that he had tested positive for COVID-19. He urged those who had come in contact with him for the past few days to isolate themselves and get tested for COVID-19.<\/p>\n
