{"id":10648,"date":"2020-10-14T11:25:43","date_gmt":"2020-10-14T05:55:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/34.22.110.190\/english\/?p=10648"},"modified":"2021-01-05T03:07:19","modified_gmt":"2021-01-04T21:37:19","slug":"fir-against-actor-kangana-ranaut-in-karnataka-for-tweet-on-farmers-protest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebengalstory.com\/english\/fir-against-actor-kangana-ranaut-in-karnataka-for-tweet-on-farmers-protest\/","title":{"rendered":"FIR against actor Kangana Ranaut in Karnataka for tweet on farmers\u2019 protest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A first information report has been registered by the Karnataka Police against Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut for her tweet on the farmers\u2019 protests on the recently passes farm acts, it was reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barandbench.com\/news\/litigation\/karnataka-police-registers-fir-against-kangana-ranaut-tweet-farmers-bills\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Bar &amp; Bench<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The FIR refers to the allegations made by Advocate Ramesh Naik who said that the tweet termed farmers protesting the Farmers Bills as \u201cterrorists\u201d. It alleged that she had the intention of instigating riots and disturbing peace and it has hurt the sentiments of lakhs of farmers.<\/p>\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KanganaTeam\/status\/1307946243339907072\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\">tweet<\/span><\/a>, it was written: \u201cPeople who spread mininformation and rumours about CAA that caused riots are the same people who are now spreading misinformations (sic) about Farmers bill and causing terror in the nation, they are terrorists.
