After resigning as MLA and member of Trinamool Congress, former minister Subhendu Adhikary has written to West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar seeking his intervention out of fear that he may be implicated in criminal cases \u201cout of political vendetta\u201d. Dhankhar has tweeted the letter from his official Twitter account.<\/p>\n
In the letter, Adhikary sought his \u201cintervention as constitutional head\u201d so that the police and state administration do not implicate him and his followers \u201cin criminal cases out of political motivation (sic) and vendetta\u201d.<\/p>\n
The former minister in Mamata Banerjee\u2019s cabinet wrote that he said that he has been in public life for 25 years, and recently quit as minister on November 27 this year. \u201cI now gather that this change of political stance at my end is spurring those in authority to be in political vendetta mode against me,\u201d Adhikary wrote in his letter to Dhankhar. The former Trinamool Congress leader \u2013 who is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) soon \u2013 wrote that there is \u201cinitiation of appropriate steps so that those concerned in police and administration desist from implication in political motivated manner\u201d.<\/p>\n
