They also threatened to commit suicide if they were separated, it was <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/city\/agra\/two-mathura-girls-willing-to-marry-to-keep-their-friendship-intact\/articleshow\/64544458.cms?utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=iOSapp&amp;from=mdr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">reported <\/span><\/a>by The Times of India<\/p>\n<p>The women have been in a relationship for the past couple of years and wanted to live together.<\/p>\n<p>Police called the parents of both women and said they were \u201ctrying to resolve the issue\u201d. Same sex couples <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/LGBT_rights_in_India\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">cannot legally marry in India<\/span>\u00a0<\/a> or obtain civil partnership.
