Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda on Thursday launched the party\u2019s \u201cLokkhyo Shonar Bangla\u201d campaign for West Bengal \u2013 an interactive campaign that seeks people\u2019s suggestions on Bengal\u2019s progress. He launched the programme at a session in the Kolkata office of the BJP.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are hoping to get over two crore suggestions that we will go through and implement in the state,\u201d Nadda said. There will be 30,000 suggestion boxes all across the state \u2013 100 in each of the 294 Assembly seats. Out of the 100 suggestion boxes in each constituency, 50 boxes will be taken by BJP workers door to door and the remaining will be placed in \u201cstrategic places\u201d in the constituency for people to put their suggestions in the boxes.<\/p>\n
Along with the suggestion boxes, Nadda also launched \u201cLED raths\u201d for all Assembly constituencies that will go around seeking suggestions, as part of the campaign. People can also submit suggestions on the website created for this purpose. They can also do so through missed calls in a given number or send messages to the same number through WhatsApp. This entire exercise will be open from March 3 to 20.<\/p>\n
Nadda said that BJP will bring in \u201cAshol Paribartan\u201d in Bengal that Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke of recently. He said that the Bengal he visualises will have both the Centre\u2019s medical insurance scheme Ayushman Bharat and Pradhan Mantri Kissan Samman Nidhi, a scheme for farmers. He said that if BJP comes to power in Bengal, the backlog for payment to farmers that could not be implemented earlier, will be paid too. He said that the idea is to create a Bengal free from \u201ccut money culture\u201d, \u201csyndicate culture\u201d and to make it \u201ccorruption-free\u201d, as well as to push sectors such as industry and health. “The progress of the country cannot take place if progress doesn’t take place in Bengal,” he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
