Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, former West Bengal chief minister and Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader sent out a message for the Left Front and Congress\u2019 meeting on February 28 at Kolkata\u2019s Brigade Parade Ground. Bhattacharjee has been unwell for some time and has not left home in months.<\/p>\n
Bhattacharjee said in his message that he is aware of the various developments around the meeting on Sunday, including the fact that there will be many people who will attend it. In his message he wrote that he knows that many people have already arrived in the city for the meeting. The senior leader said that he has been following the advice of doctors and has not been granted permission to leave home.<\/p>\n
The senior leader, in his message also wrote that he is unable to express how painful it is for him not to be able to attend the Brigade meeting. \u201cThe comrades are fighting on the ground and I have been following the doctors\u2019 advice due to my ailments,\u201d he wrote, adding, \u201cI cannot imagine that a meeting is on in the Maidan and I am stuck home.\u201d He wished the Brigade meeting a success.<\/p>\n
The Left Front and ally Congress\u2019 meeting will be held at the Brigade Parade Ground of Kolkata, that is expected to draw a huge gathering. People from various parts of Bengal have already started pouring into the city.
