The women nominated as Trinamool\u2019s candidates were by Banerjee\u2019s side and the protest was focused on the hike in price of petrol, diesel and LPG.<\/p>\n<p>Banerjee, at the end of the &#8220;padayatra&#8221;, said that the Centre has to answer why the price was increasing, and women who were at the receiving end, would respond to it in the coming elections. \u201cWe are giving free rice to the poor, but to boil it they have to purchase LPG at Rs 900!\u201d she exclaimed.<\/p>\n<p>Banerjee had started her election rally in Siliguri on Sunday after announcing the names of candidates on Friday.
