Trinamool Congress\u2019 general secretary Partha Chatterjee has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the case of an ongoing chit fund probe. Chatterjee is West Bengal\u2019s education minister as well, and is contesting from the Behala West constituency for Trinamool Congress in the coming Assembly polls. He has been summoned in connection with the I-Core chit fund probe.<\/p>\n
Chatterjee himself said that he is not aware of the summons.<\/p>\n
Another Trinamool Congress candidate, former minister Madan Mitra, has been summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam. He has been asked to be present in the agency\u2019s Salt Lake office on March 18. Mitra is contesting from the Kamarhati constituency. Already Trinamool\u2019s MP and candidate Manas Bhunia has been summoned by the ED. Trinamool\u2019s spokesperson Kunal Ghosh was also called twice by the Central investigating agency recently for the Saradha probe.<\/p>\n
