Separate joint teams of security forces, with over 2,000 personnel, launched an operation from Bijapur and Sukma districts in the south Bastar forests.\u00a0 At around 12 noon, an encounter ensued that continued for three hours and led to deaths of several security personnel.\u00a0Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and also directed DG Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Kuldiep Singh to visit Chhattisgarh to take stock of the situation.<\/p>\n
