On the day of polls in Nandigram \u2013 where Banerjee is contesting against BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari \u2013 there was massive chaos in a booth, where she was restricted for about two hours. A huge contingent of police arrived to where she was and led her out, as people from Trinamool and the BJP gathered outside the booth and the situation turned tense. Banerjee has accused the EC of failing to maintain law and order during elections.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, the EC said that Banerjee\u2019s action at the polling booth had \u201cimmense potential to have adverse effect on the law and order across West Bengal and maybe in some other states\u201d.<\/p>\n
