He has been advised rest. Pande had taken the vaccine against COVID on Wednesday and was out campaigning. But he started feeling unwell on Thursday morning with respiratory distress and body ache. Pande is the Trinamool Congress candidate from Manicktala in Kolkata, which goes to the polls on April 29.<\/p>\n

CPI(M) leader and the party\u2019s candidate from Jadavpur constituency, Sujan Chakraborty, is admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata. He has tested positive for COVID-19 and has mild symptoms. Bengal Congress president Adhir Chowdhury has also tested positive for COVID-19 and is staying in home isolation.
