West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee said at a press conference that Central investigation agencies are being used by the BJP-led government at the Centre to create pressure on the ruling party in Bengal. \u201cWhy should he [Anubrata Mondal] appear before the CBI just before the elections are scheduled in his district? An election process is on, doesn\u2019t he have work related to the election in the district where he heads the party?\u201d Banerjee said, adding that he had told Mondol to not appear before the CBI before the election. \u201cThere must be restrictions followed for COVID-19.
