Alipore recorded 98.81 mm rainfall from\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_491447431\">12 midnight<\/span>\u00a0to five in the morning while Behala and Joka received 87.88mm and 77.47 rains respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The regional meteorological department, Alipore issued an alert for coastal areas of Bengal and asked fishermen to stay away from the sea for the next two days.<\/p>\n<p>Chief minister Mamata Banerjee\u00a0cancelled her administrative meetings in East Midnapore\u2019s Digha, so she is able to monitor the situation in the entire state from her office in Kolkata\u2019s Nabanna.
