The West Bengal government on Monday extended the restrictions in place till July 1, along with some relaxations.<\/p>\n
State government offices will remain open with 25 per cent workforce, and private offices can remain open with the same percentage of workforce, though the latter\u2019s time for remaining open has been fixed \u2013 between from 10 AM to 4 PM. Offices in the Information Technology (IT) sector can remain open with 50 per cent workforce. For all these sectors though, the employers will have to provide transport for employees.<\/p>\n
Shops and markets selling essential commodities will remain open from 9 to 11 AM. Other shops can remain open from 11 AM to 6 PM. The government has also allowed restaurants and bars to remain open from 12 noon to 8 PM with 50 per cent of seating.<\/p>\n
The government has also allowed morning walks in parks, though only those who have been vaccinated will be allowed. Shooting for films and TV serials have also been allowed \u2013 but only with 50 per cent of the unit.<\/p>\n
In addition, movement of vehicles and people will continue to remain closed from 9 PM to 5 AM. Throughout the day, however, people will be allowed if they are going to and from airport, hospitals or for emergencies, and will have to get e-passes from the police authorities permitting movement.<\/p>\n
Schools, colleges, educational institutions will remain closed, as well as public transport including trains and Metro Railway. Also to remain closed will be gyms, swimming pools, cinema halls, spa etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
