{"id":1562,"date":"2018-06-28T12:16:08","date_gmt":"2018-06-28T06:46:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/34.22.110.190\/english\/?p=1562"},"modified":"2021-01-05T03:14:07","modified_gmt":"2021-01-04T21:44:07","slug":"congress-slams-centre-for-using-armed-forces-as-political-tool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebengalstory.com\/english\/congress-slams-centre-for-using-armed-forces-as-political-tool\/","title":{"rendered":"Congress slams Centre for using &#8216;Armed forces&#8217; as political tool"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After few media channels\u00a0on Wednesday\u00a0evening aired footage of surgical strike by Indian Army across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on the intervening night of\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1960357859\">September 28 and 29<\/span>\u00a0in 2016, Congress\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1960357860\">on Thursday<\/span>\u00a0lashed out at the Centre for using soldiers as a tool of political gains prior to next year&#8217;s general election.<\/p>\n<p>During a media interaction, Congress&#8217;s chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said it has become a trend for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to garner votes using surgical strikes since last year&#8217;s assembly election in Uttar Pradesh.
