Dilip Ghosh, West Bengal chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Monday called on the party’s national president JP Nadda in New Delhi, to discuss various issues concerning the party in West Bengal.<\/p>\n

Two junior Central government ministers from Bengal — Babul Supriyo and Debashree Chaudhuri — were dropped from the cabinet last week. Four others from the state — Santanu Thakur, John Barla, Nishith Pramanik and Subhas Sarkar — were inducted as junior ministers in the Central government.<\/p>\n

This has caused some disgruntlement in various levels of the party in Bengal. Babul Supriyo has openly expressed his disappointment on being dropped, and Supriyo and Dilip Ghosh have commented in public about each other. Meanwhile, the party\u2019s youth wing chief Soumitra Khan has recently posted a video on social media, criticising the party\u2019s Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, and saying the latter was always focusing the spotlight on himself.<\/p>\n

All this has made it clear that the inner squabbles within the party is now out in the open. Seen in this context, Ghosh\u2019s visit to Delhi is likely to see some changes in the party\u2019s Bengal unit soon.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose who are abiding by party discipline will not face any trouble. It seems some are having personal issues and are coming out in the open. The responsible leaders, however, know what to speak on a specific platform,\u201d Ghosh said when asked about the Delhi visit.
