The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday had received orders to take over the probe of the explosion outside Singh\u2019s house that took place last week, on September 8.<\/p>\n
Tuesday morning’s blasts allegedly took place some distance from Singh’s house, while the September 8 blasts had taken place just outside his residence. On September 8, some crude bombs were hurled at Singh\u2019s house. Singh has alleged that the state\u2019s ruling party, Trinamool Congress, is responsible for both the attacks.<\/p>\n
However, the Trinamool Congress said that the attack was the fallout of the BJP\u2019s internal feud. Trinamool\u2019s Partha Bhowmick said that his party is not responsible for any attack and the BJP MP is organising these in order to draw attention, as he is losing popularity in the area. The Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankhar had criticised the September 8 attack, calling it \u201cwanton violence\u201d in West Bengal that showed \u201cno sign of abating\u201d. He wrote that he expects \u201cprompt action\u201d by the West Bengal Police and had earlier flagged his concern to chief minister Mamata Banerjee.<\/p>\n
