His wife, Sheela Marandi \u2013 also a senior Maoist leader \u2013 was arrested along with him.<\/p>\n<p>They have been taken to Ranchi for interrogation, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Kishan Da is wanted in several cases. He is said to be among the top leaders of the Maoists, and was head of the Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) before it merged with the CPI-ML (People\u2019s War) to form the CPI (Maoist) in 2004. He was heading the eastern regional bureau of the outfit and was in charge of its activities in states like Jharkhand, Bengal, Bihar and Odisha.\u00a0Marandi has been one of the top-most women leaders in the CPI (Maoist) for years.<\/p>\n<p>Bose hails from West Bengal.
