Delhi has recorded 4,099 infections in the last 24 hours, with about 10,000 new Covid cases in the last three days.<\/p>\n

According to health minister Satyander Jain, 84 per cent of the samples tested have been of the new variant, Omicron. The new variant is being considered as highly infectious.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs per genome sequencing reports of December 30-31 from three labs \u2013 at Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, Lok Nayak Hospital and National Centre for Disease Control \u2013 84 per cent samples were infected with Omicron.
