Last year, Banerjee formed the state government for the third time in a row in Bengal.<\/p>\n<p>Mamata Banerjee today challenged her critics to \u201cface\u201d her to argue on the various issues for which she is being attacked, she said. \u201cI can face others, but no one can face me,\u201d she said. Banerjee said that when people criticise Bengal, it pains her. \u201cWe do not treat cases on the basis of political colour. Everyone at fault will be punished,\u201d she said. \u201cThis is not Bihar or Uttar Pradesh,\u201d she said, mentioning about \u201cpoor law and order situation\u201d in those states and the way \u201cwomen are treated\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere, my mothers and sisters can freely walk around and do whatever they feel like,\u201d she said, adding, \u201cBengal is better than all other states.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the elections, Banerjee had announced Lokkhir Bhandar, the monthly Rs 500 allowance for women in the state. On Thursday, at Netaji Indoor Stadium, the CM handed over cheques to several recipients who came from different districts. About 1.51 crore women have already received allowances under the Lokkhir Bhandar scheme.
