A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bengal delegation today called on West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar at Raj Bhawan to submit a memorandum on post-poll violence. Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, BJP Bengal chief Sukanta Majumdar, MP Saumitra Khan, senior leader Agnimitra Paul along with family members of post-poll violence victims were part of the delegation.<\/p>\n
Dhankhar said that he had heard about the incidents from the families of the victims and had \u201ctaken note\u201d of what they told him.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, senior minister in the West Bengal cabinet, Trinamool Congress\u2019 Chandrima Bhattacharya said that the BJP delegation meeting the Governor is \u201cnothing unusual\u201d. She said: \u201cRaj Bhawan is like a drawing room for them.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Bhattacharya, referring to the post-mortem report of the deceased BJP worker Arjun Chowrasia, said: \u201cIt is not true that he was killed and the body made to hang. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has not projected himself as a responsible person. He should apologise.\u201d Shah had visited the home of Chowrasia in Kolkata and demanded a probe into the death by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
