Instead Deb <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/india-news\/asked-about-lynchings-tripura-cm-biplab-deb-says-look-at-my-face-i-am-so-happy\/story-zbtqrwIplX1SqsD8RTvpCP.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">advised<\/span> <\/a>the reporter to stay happy and asked him to look at his delighted face.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He said a sense of happiness is prevailing in the state and every person is happy.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Later <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_149434780\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Thursday<\/span><\/span> evening, the Tripura government claimed Deb&#8217;s comment was quoted out of context and that he had actually said it when asked about the newly-renamed airport in Agartala.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Over the past few days, a number of incidents of lynching have taken place owing to\u00a0rumours of child abduction\u00a0across India including Tripura. An anti-rumour campaigner was beaten to death during a campaign in Tripura&#8217;s Kalacherra on June 28.
