An eight-member team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reached the house of Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee\u2019s house in Bhawanipore today in connection with an alleged coal smuggling probe. The team is likely to question Banerjee\u2019s wife Rujira.<\/p>\n
Abhishek Banerjee is scheduled to be in Tripura today where he is to lead a roadshow. West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee will leave Kolkata for Delhi today where she has a meeting scheduled with Opposition party leaders tomorrow at 2 pm.<\/p>\n
A CBI team had earlier questioned Rujira Banerjee at her and Abhishek Banerjee\u2019s Bhawanipore residence. Subsequently, the Enforcement Directorate asked her to be present in the agency\u2019s Delhi office. But she had written to the agency authorities telling them about her inconvenience. Abhishek Banerjee himself however had been to Delhi to face Central probe agency\u2019s questioning. Trinamool Congress has been alleging that the Centre is using the probe agencies against Opposition party leaders. He and his wife had moved court asking the agency\u2019s officers to question them in Kolkata.
