According to a report by NDTV<\/a>, senior leaders Mallikarjuna Kharge, Jairam Ramesh and Randeep Singh Surjewala will represent the Congress at the meeting called by Banerjee tomorrow. Banerjee had written to Opposition party leaders requesting them to be present at a meeting at the Constitution Club tomorrow. President Ram Nath Kovind\u2019s term ends on July 24 and elections are likely to be held on July 18 for the next President of India.<\/p>\nSharad Pawar, leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, may be one of the prospective candidates, according to the report, though Pawar himself has told some people that he is not in the race. He will attend the meeting tomorrow.<\/p>\n
The meeting of the Opposition parties is significant as the ruling coalition led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does not have the adequate number for a sure victory.
