Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut \u2013 a Rajya Sabha member \u2013 has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai tomorrow to be questioned in a case of alleged money laundering. Over the past few days \u2013 the Shiv Sena\u2019s spokesperson \u2013 has been among the most vocal about the recent rebellion from among the rebel MLAs in his party in Maharashtra.<\/p>\n
Raut has said that \u201cthis is a conspiracy to stop me\u201d. The summons to Raut are in connection with Rs 1,034 crore Patra Chawl land scam case, in which the ED attached his properties in April. At that time, the Shiv Sena spokesperson had said that he was not going to be \u201cscared\u201d about these things.<\/p>\n
In the recent past, the Shiv Sena leaders owing their allegiance to Uddhav Thackeray, have said that the rebellion in the party from among the MLAs has been led by Eknath Shinde as a result of \u201cthe pressure of ED, CBI and other agencies\u201d under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government at the Centre. Raut has said \u201cEven we had ED pressure but we will continue to stand with Uddhav Thackeray.
