After reports of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) issuing a lookout notice for Trinamool Congress MLA and former chairperson of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education Manik Bhattacharya in connection with a probe, the MLA spoke to the media on Friday saying he has not left home. The CBI is probing into alleged irregularities in primary teachers\u2019 appointment. Reports said that the lookout notice was issued after he was not found at his residences in Kolkata and Nadia.<\/p>\n
Bhattacharya is MLA from Nadia\u2019s Palashipara. He was earlier interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate, that is probing the money trail in the case.<\/p>\n
On Friday, Bhattacharya spoke to several news channels over videocall, telling them that he is in his south Kolkata residence. He showed the mediapersons around the house over videocalls, and said he was confused about the allegations and claimed that he was in his home.
