Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad quit the party today with a fierce attack on Rahul Gandhi blaming him for his \u201cchildish behaviour\u201d, \u201cglaring immaturity\u201d and for allowing a \u201ccoterie of inexperienced sycophants\u201d run the party. According to some reports<\/a>, he may form a new party in Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

In a letter to Sonia Gandhi, Azad blamed Rahul Gandhi for Congress\u2019 defeat in 2014 Lok Sabha polls, following which the party has not witnessed any turnaround. He wrote that Sonia Gandhi is \u201cjust a nominal figurehead\u201d while important decisions are taken by \u201cRahul Gandhi or rather worse his security guards and PAs.\u201d<\/p>\n
