{"id":1929,"date":"2018-07-15T16:23:25","date_gmt":"2018-07-15T10:53:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/34.22.110.190\/english\/?p=1929"},"modified":"2021-01-05T03:14:05","modified_gmt":"2021-01-04T21:44:05","slug":"cpim-students-unit-organising-free-martial-arts-training-camp-for-school-and-college-girls-near-kolkata","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebengalstory.com\/english\/cpim-students-unit-organising-free-martial-arts-training-camp-for-school-and-college-girls-near-kolkata\/","title":{"rendered":"CPIM students\u2019 unit organising free martial arts training camp for school and college girls near Kolkata"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students\u2019 Federation of India (SFI), the students\u2019 wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) zonal committee of\u00a0Ashoknagar near Kolkata, will launch a month-long free martial arts training camp from\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1843087329\">August 15, 2018<\/span>\u00a0for high school and college girls.<\/p>\n<p>The SFI\u2019s district secretary Rana Roy said that women were being attacked in every pocket of the state. \u201cWomen should be able to protect themselves without depending on others,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the state CPIM women\u2019s committee has organised several meetings, rallies highlighting women\u2019s lack of security in the state.<\/p>\n<p>SFI district secretariat member Akash Kar said, \u201cThere are 17 schools in the area and we are inviting girls from all of them, as well as girl-students from two local colleges.
