The session starts today and ends August 10, with 18 sittings.<\/p>\n<p>Last night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a session before the commencement of the monsoon session\u2019s smooth functioning. Besides, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkiah Naidu also chaired two separate all party meetings to ensure that the monsoon session goes well.<\/p>\n<p>While Modi is looking forward to a session that can showcase the government in positive light, the Opposition parties are looking to target the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government on various bills, amendments and issues.
