Though the depression created over the Bay of Bengal\u00a0on Tuesday had taken a north-western turn by\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_560294196\">Wednesday<\/span>, Kolkata and surrounding areas experienced light to medium amounts of rainfall. Weather forecasts have predicted the continuation of rains for this entire week in Kolkata and few surrounding places.<\/p>\n<p>The depression was created along the West Bengal-Orissa border\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_560294197\">on Tuesday<\/span>\u00a0as a result of which coastal areas have been cautioned against turbulences.
