In the said case, a Rajasthan-based lawyer was allegedly framed in a narcotics case.<\/p>\n<p>The lawyer had filed a case against Bhatt when he was a police superintendent. It was recently that the Gujarat High Court ordered a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the 22-year-old case, filed in Rajasthan\u2019s Pali, the Indian Express <a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/india\/former-gujarat-ips-officer-sanjiv-bhatt-detained-for-allegedly-implicating-lawyer-in-1996-case-5340723\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">reported<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to senior police officers, the Gujarat High Court had asked the CID to investigate this case and Bhatt was found to have made a false case against the lawyer.
