Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala referred to a song from the famous Bollywood movie Golmaal<\/em> while tweeting on the recent developments in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) \u2013 the removal of the agency\u2019s top boss and four men found to be \u201csnooping\u201d outside his house \u2013 and wrote Golmaal hai, sab golmaal hai<\/em>.<\/p>\n

After four men were found suspiciously moving around CBI director Alok Verma\u2019s Janpath Road residence in New Delhi, the Congress said that the Modi government has stooped to a new low trying to snoop on him after illegally removing him from his post.<\/p>\n

The four persons caught around Verma\u2019s home on were from the IB (Intelligence Bureau), the Congress said. \u00a0The CBI has become the \u201cCentral Burial of Investigation\u201d, tweeted Congress.<\/p>\n

CBI director Alok Verma and Special Director Rakesh Asthana were both asked to go on leave as per a late-night order. Verma has already moved the Supreme Court against the government order and the hearing is scheduled tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Rahul Gandhi has said that Verma was removed because he was collecting information as the CBI boss on the Rafale fighter jet deal.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Centre has accepted <\/span><\/a>that the four men outside Verma\u2019s home were from the IB.\u00a0However, they were deployed as part of a routine patrol duty and were not snooping, it was said.<\/p>\n

They had just halted on Janpath seeing a crowd there.\u00a0Snooping on the CBI director was not their intention and that their actions have been hugely misinterpreted, the Centre said.<\/p>\n

These four men had earlier been spotted loitering around for a long time and were detained after their behaviour \u201cappeared suspicious.\u201d They were questioned by the PSOs inside Verma\u2019s residential compound and then handed over to the police patrol team.
