The civil aviation ministry has taken serious note of the incident, according to reports.<\/p>\n<p>The Indigo authorities said there was no emergency landing of the said IndiGo Airbus A320neo plane of January 3. \u201cThere was no engine shutdown and no emergency landing was declared,\u201d Indigo\u2019s statement read.<\/p>\n<p>However, some reports suggest otherwise. There was reportedly a \u201cloud bang\u201d and the engine of the aircraft stalled mid-air, and there were sparks and vibrations.<\/p>\n<p>The flight returned to Chennai, but the engine blades had been damaged.
