The meeting between Kumar and the CBI officials are taking place with the Supreme Court asking the Kolkata CP to cooperate with the investigation of the Saradha chit fund scam. The CBI has been alleging that Kumar has not been cooperating, while the senior IPS officer has maintained that he has offered all the requisite information to the central investigating agency.<\/p>\n<p>Last Sunday, a team of 40 CBI officers reached the doorstep of the Kolkata CP\u2019s official residence in Kolkata with the intention of interrogating him \u2013 apparently in a \u201csecret operation\u201d. The officers however were \u201cheld\u201d by Kolkata Police, and chief minister Mamata Banerjee started a dharna to protest the high-handedness of the agency that was acting under the instructions of the Central government. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court said that Kumar could not be arrested, and asked the officer to cooperate with the CBI in the investigation.
