{"id":4929,"date":"2019-03-22T18:55:34","date_gmt":"2019-03-22T13:25:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebengalstory.com\/english\/?p=4929"},"modified":"2021-01-05T03:12:36","modified_gmt":"2021-01-04T21:42:36","slug":"aseemanandas-mother-says-nobody-can-now-call-her-a-terrorists-mother-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebengalstory.com\/english\/aseemanandas-mother-says-nobody-can-now-call-her-a-terrorists-mother-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Aseemananda\u2019s mother says nobody can now call her a \u201cterrorist\u2019s mother\u201d: report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After the acquittal of Swami Aseemananda \u2013 one of the prime accused in the Samjhauta Express blast case of 2007 \u2013 by the Panchkula special court on Wednesday, his mother <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/news\/politics-and-nation\/nobody-will-call-me-a-terrorists-mother-now-aseemanandas-mother\/articleshow\/68507565.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">has told the media<\/span> <\/a>that no one can call her a \u201cterrorist\u2019s mother\u201d anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Swami Aseemananda, also known by the names of Nabakumar, Jiten Chatterjee and Omkarnath \u2013 hails from the village of Kamarpukur in Hooghly district of West Bengal, about 100 km from Kolkata.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the media, his mother said that the family can now return to \u201cnormal life\u201d and that she would no longer be called the mother of a &#8220;Hindu terrorist&#8221;, it was reported by <em>The<\/em> <em>Economic Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Adding that the family had not celebrated any festival in the last ten years since her son had been arrested, the 92-year old mother of Swami Assemananda said that they would now celebrate Diwali festival after his acquittal.<\/p>\n<p>Several leaders from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) connected with the family after the news of the acquittal came in.
