He said this at a public meeting in West Bengal\u2019s Siliguri and put the state\u2019s chief minister Mamata Banerjee in the second group in no uncertain terms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the Balakot strike took place, Didi was hurt more than Islamabad, Lahore and Rawalpindi had been hurt,\u201d he thundered. \u201c<em>Chowkidaar ne ghus kar maara<\/em>\u2026 (the <em>chowkidaar<\/em> had entered their homes and hit at them) and\u00a0 she wanted proof of the strikes. She wanted to know if it had happened or not. Didi did not like it,\u201d Modi said at the public meeting. He added that it was the same with those who had joined hands with her in the Opposition. He added that they had become heroes in the Pakistan media.<\/p>\n<p>Modi brought up the issue of the Congress\u2019 manifesto released yesterday, and said that it had put to risk the security of the brave jawans of the country \u2013 those who were fighting against terrorists and the enemies.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the crowd, PM Modi said that the people\u2019s votes would go not only to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Prime Minister Modi, \u201cyour vote is also for the safety and security of the country\u2019s security forces\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He said that infiltrators would not be able to get away, and warned that \u201crumours\u201d being spread by those on the \u201cpayroll of the Trinamool Congress\u201d about the negative impacts of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) implementation wouldn\u2019t be spared either. Instead, he \u201cassured\u201d that the Gorkhas would not be affected by its implementation.<\/p>\n<p>In the earlier part of his speech, the Prime Minister spoke of \u201cdevelopment\u201d, accusing Mamata Banerjee of being a speed breaker and halting progress in the state. \u201cFor the interest of their politics to survive and thrive, the Congress, Left and now the Trinamool Congress, want the poor to remain poor,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the sea of people at the Siliguri meeting had assured him that Didi\u2019s \u2013 Mamata Banerjee\u2019s \u2013 boat had sunk.
