Congress was in the fourth place.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who won before that? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This has been a Forward Bloc seat traditionally, with Renuka Sinha from the Trinamool Congress winning it for the first time for the party in 2014. She won the seat with 39.51% votes. Forward Bloc was second and BJP was third.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What about this time? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There has been trouble here for BJP\u2019s candidate Nisith Adhikary right from the start, with the party workers protesting the choice of candidate when the first list of candidates was out. They even ransacked their own party office. Adhikary \u2013 who was earlier with the Trinamool Congress, had been expelled from the party and has 11 cases pending against him.<\/p>\n<p>Paresh Adhikary \u2013 who was earlier with the Forward Bloc, joined the Trinamool Congress.
