The Jumla Meter can be seen on the Trinamool Congress&#8217; official pages, including its Twitter account.<\/p>\n<p>According to a senior party official, \u201cWe have quoted PM Modi\u2019s words that he has mentioned publicly since 2014. And in order to \u2018prove\u2019 that these are nothing but \u2018lies\u2019, we have quoted facts from reports published in renowned publications which are mentioned below.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Trinamool Congress functionary said that one of the ways to counter the \u201clies\u201d being spread about the party and its chief Mamata Banerjee is to explain before people \u201cwhat the reality is\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Jumla Meter \u2013 the word <em>jumla<\/em> meaning \u201cfalse promise\u201d \u2013 is loosely used to indicate \u201clies\u201d here. And thus, the meter has been drawn with one half in saffron (the colour identified with the BJP) marked as \u201cFalse\u201d, while the other side with \u201cTrue\u201d on it, is marked in green (associated with the Trinamool Congress). Once the facts are exposed, the needle of the Jumla Meter points to \u201cFalse\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5157\" src=\"https:\/\/thebengalstory.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/04\/jm7-173x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"436\" height=\"756\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Jumla Meter concerns issues that are important both nationally and for West Bengal.
