Weathermen have put the State of Odisha on \u2018yellow\u2019 alert\u00a0in view of the approaching cyclone. West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh\u00a0have also been put on high alert.<br \/>\nIn view of Fani and to enable successful rescue operation post cyclone, the model code of conduct has been withdrawn from 11 districts\u00a0of Odisha.<\/div>\n<div class=\"m_2009926801946671620m_4956926220125134787elided-text\" dir=\"auto\">The Prime Minister has spoken to authorities and\u00a0has asked them to stay prepared for all eventualities and help<br \/>\npeople with rescue and rehabilitation work. He has also asked them to coordinate\u00a0with the governments of the states likely to be affected by cyclone\u00a0Fani.<br \/>\nThe districts that may be affected in Odisha are Puri, where the tourists\u00a0have been asked stay out of, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khorda, Cuttack and Jajpur. The places of West Bengal that are likely to be affected are East\u00a0and West Mednipur, North and South 24 Parganas, Kolkata etc. Srikakulam\u00a0and Vijiyanagaram in Andhra Pradesh are also likely to be affected.<br \/>\nUnits of Army and Air Force have been put on standby mode in Odisha, West\u00a0Bengal and Andhra Pradesh, to help in rescue operations post cyclone if required. Navy and Coast Guard have deployed ships and helicopters\u00a0for relief and rescue operations.<\/div>\n<div class=\"m_2009926801946671620m_4956926220125134787elided-text\" dir=\"auto\">Teams of National Disaster Response\u00a0Force (NDRF) \u2013 28 in Odisha, eight in Andhra and five in Bengal\u00a0\u2013 have been deployed. The National Crisis Management Committee (NCMC) met on Tuesday to take stock of the situation.
