Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday attacked the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the Indian Army was not PM Modi\u2019s \u201cproperty\u201d.<\/p>\n
He said the Prime Minister must apologise for belittling the Army whose action he flaunts in a bid to criticise the Congress-led former government. The Congress president was reacting to the \u201cvideo game\u201d taunt of the Prime Minister at the surgical strike executed during the Congress regime.<\/p>\n
Rahul Gandhi, at a press conference this morning, said that Congress never politicised the armed forces. He said that the main issue in this election was not security of the nation but the high unemployment rate prevailing in the country. He accused\u00a0PM Modi of keeping mum on important issues such as unemployment and farmers\u2019 problems and concluded that he was doing so as \u201che has nothing to say\u201d.<\/p>\n
He said the BJP had gone into a panic mode and the PM was taking refuge behind the Army, as it was clear to them that they would lose the elections.
