She mentioned that the said meeting was at Mathurapur in South 24 Parganas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is even more dangerous than chit fund companies. They are saying Saradha, Narada whenever they mention me, but look at whom he is associating himself with,\u201d Banerjee said at a meeting in Mandirbazar today.<\/p>\n<p>Microfinance services offer schemes including savings, insurance funds and credits to the poor and low income groups to help them increase income. Chit fund companies are basically savings schemes.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5526\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5526\" style=\"width: 608px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5526\" src=\"https:\/\/thebengalstory.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/05\/modi-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"608\" height=\"608\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5526\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Poster of Narendra Modi meeting at the controversial Mathurapur ground<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the current context, microfinance companies being \u201cmore dangerous\u201d than chit fund companies was used by Banerjee to indicate that the former had more danger of cheating people.<\/p>\n<p>The Bengal CM showed a bunch of papers at the meeting and said she had all relevant documents and would ask the district police to start a case. \u201cNow, since the election model code of condition is in vogue, I do not discuss these matters with the police, but I would hand over the documents to a relevant person to be given to the police for investigation,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Banerjee has a packed schedule of election meetings today after the Election Commission cut short the campaigning time by one day following trouble at College Street on May 14 at BJP chief Amit Shah\u2019s rally. The EC also transferred two top officers from West Bengal \u2013 IPS officer Rajeev Kumar and home secretary Atri Bhattacharya.<\/p>\n<p>Banerjee said she refused to bow down before the BJP\u2019s threats and called the Election Commission the \u201cBJP\u2019s brother\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>BJP leaders were not available for comment.
