The temperature over the next few days may touch 18°C.

However, this does not indicate arrival of winter officially because such abrupt lowering of temperature in parts of the country may happen due to local influences.

A few days ago there was heavy snowfall in Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, which led to winter-like conditions in parts of eastern India. Officially, the ideal winter arrives when temperature reaches 15°C and stays that way for four to five days.

This year, such conditions may develop close to December 15.
