West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar was shown black flags and posters with \u201cgo back\u201d slogans on his way to a girls\u2019 college in Domkal of Murshidabad district on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Governor Jagdeep Dhankar \u2013 who is at the centre of controversy for \u201ctrying to run a parallel government\u201d \u2013 was on his way to inaugurate a new building of a girls\u2019 college.<\/p>\n
After his request for a helicopter was not met with, it was one of the many occasions that Jagdeep Dhankar has gone on record saying the state government was not cooperating with him. Dhankhar said that whenever he needed a helicopter, the state government raised an issue on various grounds.<\/p>\n
The Trinamool Congress, at an all-party meet in Delhi on Sunday, urged Union minister Amit Shah to \u201ccall\u201d West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar and to \u201cshow him the way\u201d.<\/p>\n
After the meeting \u2013 in which Trinamool Congress\u2019 Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Derek O\u2019Brien were present \u2013 the leaders said that the Governor was running a parallel administration, he was moving around with CRPF and not informing the state police. Bandopadhyay added that this was contrary to the federal structure and that the Governor should be called and shown the way. It is likely that the Trinamool Congress will raise the matter during the ongoing Parliament session.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Governor today asked how he could run a parallel administration when no police officials were present at places he visited. He also said that it is wrong to bring petty political issues in everything and asked the Trinamool Congress-run state government to keep faith on Indian Constitution and to believe in the rule of law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
