The receiver, Dildar Singh of Deodhar, is currently out of danger but will be kept under scanner for coming days.<\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div>It took only 20 minutes to cover a stretch of 23.8 km between Netaji Subhas Chandra International airport and Fortis Hospital at Anandapur near Ruby. Bidhannagar Commissionerate and Kolkata Police created a green corridor restricting the traffic movement in busy morning hours to reach the heart within 20 minutes.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Earlier, a Bengaluru man Varun Vk succumbed to accident injuries was declared brain death by Sparsh Super Speciality Hospital in Yeshwantpur on May 19.In a quick response, the hospital authority contacted Chennai&#8217;s Fortis Malar Hospital but there was no recipient. Following which, Bengaluru hospital got in touch with Kolkata&#8217;s Fortis hospital and they found the receiver with both the donor and receiver had same blood group.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>A special team of Chennai-doctors flew to Bengaluru following West Bengal government and National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO)&#8217;s green signal to carry on the mission. With the heart -stored in a special jar- landed in Kolkata around 10:53 a.m. and reached the destination at 11:29 am .
