Snowfall started at around 5 pm and it rained at night. Due to the combined action of snowfall and hailstorm, vehicles were stranded along various roads. Highest snowfall in the hill region was witnessed in Darjeeling town, Tiger Hill and Ghum railway station last year. Local people feel that this year it may snow more than the past few years as it had snowed in January and February too this year.<\/p>\n<p>Temperature in Darjeeling is lower this year compared to last year. Daytime temperature in Darjeeling this year is around 11\u00b0C while during the evenings it is around 5-6 \u00b0C.
