The price per litre in Delhi was relatively low at Rs 77.42, according Indian Oil Corp website.<\/p>\n<p>Former Financial Minister P. Chidambaram\u00a0had tweeted <span data-term=\"goog_1309597026\">on Wednesday<\/span> that the government could reduce petrol price by Rs 25 a litre but they were not doing so.<\/p>\n<p>Diesel prices also increased\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1309597027\">on Thursday<\/span>\u00a0with Mumbai and Chennai prices at Rs 72.96 and Rs 72.35 per litre respectively.
