Mamata Banerjee asks through her poem under Delhi violence backdrop"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\">West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday posted a poem on her Facebook page expressing concern over the current situation in the country. She did not however mention the Delhi violence, though her poetry under the current political scenario is significant.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The poem titled &#8220;Hell&#8221; (in English) was posted by Banerjee in Bengali and Hindi too. The poem is named &#8220;Narak&#8221; in Bengali and Hindi. In the poem, she questioned whether the recent happenings were an indication of the &#8220;end of democracy&#8221;.<br \/>\nShe worries, &#8220;Where are we going? From Heaven to Hell!&#8221; Banerjee refers to the present situation as &#8220;A Holi of Blood, Before the Holi of colours!&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;Search for an address getting lost,&#8221; she says, adding, &#8220;A peaceful country turned violent &#8211; Is it the end of democracy?&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8646\" src=\"https:\/\/thebengalstory.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/mamata-poem-eng-e1582717907305.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"710\" height=\"979\" \/><br \/>\nBanerjee had expressed concern over the happenings in Delhi while leaving for Bhubaneshwar on Tuesday. Talking to journalists at the NSC Bose International Airport in Kolkata, she said, &#8220;Of course, we the people of India want peace. We appeal all, please maintain peace.
